SincerelyKAJ

Keiara Alexis Joyner is the designer behind SincerelyKAJ. Learning how to sew in high school, she enjoyed dissecting garments and studying the science behind their construction. An alum of Savannah College of Art and Design, she received mentorship from Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) member Whitney Pozgay and was awarded the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund. After receiving the award, Keiara continued to develop her skills by working for top fashion brands including Eileen Fisher, Banana Republic, and Gap.

An advocate for giving back to the community, Keiara enjoys teaching the young ladies at her church how to sew one-of-a-kind pieces. She has participated in a fashion business incubator in New York, volunteered backstage for NYFW shows, and showcased collections in New York, D.C., and Virginia.

SincerelyKAJ is inspired by Keiara’s love for modern architecture and art. Her design process is methodical with careful consideration to how every hand-drawn sketch will translate on the body. The clean, streamline silhouettes of SincerelyKAJ celebrate the beauty of minimalism. The SincerelyKAJ woman is a sophisticated, courageous, fashion enthusiast who loves effortless style.

The SincerelyKAJ Spring/Summer 2020 collection is inspired by the South African safari. While striped turtlenecks are a subtle play on zebra stripes, balloon sleeves and dresses are reminiscent of hot air balloons. The eclectic blend of stripes, textured fabrics, and bold colors reflect the excitement that comes from exploring and ascending throughout life.
